Easter is this Sunday, but an emotional retelling of the Easter story of Christ took place Thursday night in a Terre Haute park.

Fairbanks Park came alive with the dramatization of  Passion in the Park.

The drama chronicles the trial of Jesus, his death on the cross and his resurrection.

Coordinators say it’s taken place for the past decade and it’s a true eye-opener of the sacrifice Christ made for every one of us.

“This is the time of year when we really need to know why we’re doing this and what it was for and what it represents.  I’d love for everyone from Terre Haute and the surrounding areas to come out and see this production,” says Allen Cooprider a member of Christian Motorcycle Association in Terre Haute.

You can see this production Friday, Saturday and Easter Sunday at Fairbanks Park in Terre Haute.

Show times are at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., and 8 p.m.

And, it’s free and open to the public.
