Power restored to more than 4,000 Duke Energy customers after power outage along U.S. Highway 41

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Duke Energy crews have restored power to more than 4,000 customers after a power outage along U.S. Highway 41.

An outage at the Duke Energy substation behind Lowe’s on US-41 in Terre Haute Saturday afternoon caused around 4,000 customers, including Walmart and Sam’s Club, to lose power.

Duke Energy spokesperson Rick Burger said Duke employees responded to the substation immediately to work on resolving the outage. Burger said a malfunction at the substation caused the outage.
