Drugs Arrests Made After Search Warrant Served at Residence

Two individuals are behind bars after being arrested on drug related charges in northwestern Parke County Wednesday.

On March 1st, Parke County Sheriff’s Office deputies went to an address just south of Waveland in an attempt to locate a wanted person out of Hendricks County.

During the investigation, deputies smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the residence and successfully executed a search warrant where they located marijuana, paraphernalia, syringes, and methamphetamine.

Jennifer Needham, 44, of Waveland area was arrested and charged with Maintaining a Nuisance, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Syringe.

She is being held in the Parke County Jail on a $10,000 bond. Jeffrey Burghart, 51, of Crawfordsville, was arrested and charged with Maintaining a Nuisance, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia.

He is also being held in the Parke County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
