Driver Charged in Greene Co. Hit-and-Run

A Shelburn woman faces felony charges following a hit and run incident involving a highway worker in Greene County.

Virginia Spencer is accused of hitting Kimberly Jackson as she worked along State Road 54 in front of White River Valley High School. 

During the October 18th incident, Spencer said she hit a construction barrel, but the paving company said that barrels were not present at the construction site.

Greene county authorities used video from cameras at White River Valley High School to locate Spencer’s vehicle.

The injured worker suffered multiple injuries including a broken arm and ribs.
