Indiana Senator Joe Donnelly is calling for answers about the Trump administration’s dealings with Russia.
Today, President Trump said he asked the Justice Department to investigate leaks related to his campaign’s contact with Russia. Donnelly, a Democrat, wants answers about the contact, not the leaks.
“The Russians are very very dangerous adversaries to our country. They are not our friends. They have invaded our friends. They have invaded Ukraine, they have taken over territories, they have threatened other NATO partners. So this is an extraordinarily dangerous situation,” said Donnelly.
Donnelly also has a wish for General Michael Flynn, who just resigned as National Security Adviser. “I’d like to see General Flynn come and testify before the U.S. Senate to explain his conduct and to explain his behavior,” said Donnelly.
The senator says if Flynn refuses, the general will be subpoenaed.
