Donation to Project Luke

Some local high school students are helping out a young man in need, and on this Giving Tuesday, WTWO wanted to assist that effort.

Our General Manager Tim Sturgess surprised students at Terre Haute South High School on Tuesday.

They’re raising money for a young man named Luke Jones. He’s battling brain cancer. Project Luke was started by Isabelle Findley, Carolina Findley, and Alexandria Maris.

They’re part of DECA and have raised $2,000 so far to help Luke with medical costs.

WTWO was proud to give $500 to the cause on Tuesday.

The students feel good about helping Luke.

“I’m so glad that I can give back to him and the community, just helping spread awareness. The more people praying, the better off. The more money we get, the less they have to stress,” explained Alexandria Maris.

If you would like to donate to help Luke, you can visit any First Financial Bank Branch and donate to the Luke Jones Benefit Fund.
