TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Dozens of local children in need will get a better night’s sleep thanks to the community’s generosity.
Guys Who Give presented $6,100 on Monday to Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
It’s an organization that builds beds and delivers them to children in need.
Officials with the group say this donation will help them build over 50 beds.
They say far too many children don’t have beds and are left to sleep on the floor.
“A bed is more than just ‘where am I going to sleep tonight?’. It’s where you dream. It’s where you run when you’re scared. It’s where you run when you’re sad and if you don’t have a place to go to, I couldn’t imagine that,” says Jordan Lamb, President of Sleep in Heavenly Peace’s Terre Haute chapter.
