DNR Responds To Viral Video

The Department of Natural Resources is responding after a video posted by a Turkey Run Inn employee went viral.

It’s been viewed more than 22,000 times.

The worker posted the video to show her work environment. Gesyka Ruddy has worked there for a year and a half. She says she couldn’t stand by and do nothing after seeing bugs by the Inn’s Restaurant buffet.

So, she took a video and posted it to Facebook.

Ruddy says she walked off the job right after her shift started and plans to end her employment at Turkey Run.

In a statement released today, DNR says

“Indiana State Parks Inn’s number one concern is our guests. Food safety is a major component of that concern, so we take any such reports very seriously. We are inspected regularly by the State Department of Health. We also conduct our own regularly scheduled in-house inspections

None have shown issues.

We will continue to monitor this and all of our facilities. As always, if we find any issues, we will correct them.
