Sullivan High School students learn what it’s like to have a disability and heard from a local blind adventurer.
Sullivan High School Jag sponsored the event. It included several stations set up in the gym. Those stations helped students learn what it’s like to be deaf, blind or in a wheelchair.
They also heard from blind adventurer and author Lonnie Bedwell. He’s climbed Kilimanjaro and kayaked down a river in the Grand Canyon. Bedwell is from Dugger and lost his sight in a hunting accident.
He says you can’t let a disability get in your way of living life.
