A massive house fire in Hutsonville, Illinois left one home a total loss.
Tonight fire officials were on the scene dosing the home along East Clover Street with water as the neighborhood and onlookers stopped to see the spectacle.
We talked to the daughter of the homeowner who said firefighters believe flames started in the kitchen, but due to the heat of the fire, they might not be able to determine the cause.
The homeowner’s dogs were inside the house at the time. Her daughter tells us, she lost everything.
“We were having Christmas at my house when my mom got a call that her house was on fire, and then we came and all the fire department was here, it was well engulfed in flames and the roof had already fell in,” Mandy Manhart, the homeowner’s daughter said.
Mandy Manhart who we just heard from says she overheard firefighters on scene say that the water tower for Hutsonville was out of water, but crews used water from their trucks.
