TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – He’s very fit and he’s preparing for a big competition.

And today he started his journey to the “CrossFit Open” competition.
Brian Slover is one of the top 200 people in the world and in his age group to qualify for the CrossFit qualifier.
This is part of the “CrossFit Open” which is where people from across the globe compete for 5 weeks.
Brian and the other 199 people will have to videotape their workouts and submit their videos for review to see if they can continue.
He says that his journey with CrossFit started as a way to better himself, but it turned into so much more.

Brian Slover said, “this definitely proves CrossFit works. And its one heck of a tool to use for health… One day I’d like to make it to the games but thats a pretty tough task.”

Only 10 people will be chosen to go on to the CrossFit games.
