Crawford Co. confirms first case of COVID-19

CRAWFORD Co., Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Crawford County Health Department said they have their first positive case of Coronavirus.

They were notified Sunday.

They said the patient is a male in his 70s and is thought to have been exposed through recent travel to Arizona.

According to the health department, the patient has not required hospitalization and is self-quarantined at home.

They said they are investigating who the patient may have had contact with before being diagnosed.

Illinois has over 4,500 positive cases in the state and 65 deaths as of Sunday.
