BEDFORD, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A NSA Crane Naval Base employee and his wife are accused of abusing their nine children.
Scott Allen Blattert Jr., 42, of Springville is facing multiple charges including strangulation, while his wife Cherry was arrested for neglect.
The investigation began Oct. 31 by the Indiana State Police following a report of abuse in the home in Springville.
Initially, Scott was arrested in Lawrence County and charged with domestic battery and neglect. He was later released.
The investigation continued, and on Nov. 6, Scott was arrested at the naval base. At that time, he was charged with aggravated battery and strangulation.
Cherry was also arrested and charged with neglect. She was transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
