COVID-19 cases surpass 7,000 in Indiana


INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Indiana State Department of Health reported more than 500 new cases of COVID-19 throughout the state Saturday.

There are now 7,435 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Indiana, with 537 additional cases reported Saturday.

ISDH reported 30 new deaths throughout the state, bringing the total to 330 Hoosiers who have died from the virus.

In the Wabash Valley, there are no new deaths from COVID-19 as of Saturday morning. Additional cases were reported in several counties in our area, including Vigo and Knox. Vigo Co. continues to have the most cases in our area with 39 active cases as of Saturday.

39,215 Hoosiers have been tested for COVID-19 so far. The age range with the largest percentage of positive cases is 50-59 year-olds.
