Country Legend in Terre Haute


The City of Terre Haute rolled out the red carpet Wednesday evening, to welcome a very special musical guest.

Folks welcomed country legend John Conlee to the Indiana Theater in Downtown Terre Haute, where performed several of his hit songs over his long career as a country artist.

Conlee began his singing career in the 1970’s and released his first hit single in 1978. That single launched him into a career lasting for decades.

In the 1980’s he also became a member of the member of The Grand Ole Opry.

He’s charted a total of 32 singles, 11 studio albums and 7 number on hits including “Lady lay down” and “I’m only in it for the love.”
