Johnus Orr is still guilty of killing his step-sister Tiffanie Adams and her unborn child. Today, the Indiana Court of Appeals issued its decision, upholding Orr’s murder conviction.

Orr challenged the conviction on a number of issues, including allowed evidence and jury instructions.

The Appeals Court included the following in its decision:

“… we find that the trial court did not abuse its discretion in admitting evidence, instructing the jury, or sentencing Johnus. There was sufficient evidence to support Johnus’s convictions; his convictions did not violate double jeopardy principles; and his sentence is appropriate given the nature of the offenses and his character.”

Orr received a 120 year sentence for killing Adams in November of 2014.
