Construction bids opened for convention center in Terre Haute

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Thursday, construction bids for the convention center in Terre Haute were opened.

According to Vigo County commissioner Brad Anderson 40 bids were opened on Thursday.

If accepted these bids will give contractors an opportunity to do work such as site-work, electrical, plumbing, and steel for the convention center.

According to a representative from Nations Group, which is in charge of the bidding process, they plan to choose the lowest-qualified bidders.
    
The winning bids are expected to be chosen June 26th at the Vigo County Capital Improvement Board meeting.
