Competition helps high school students prepare for workforce

Local high school students put their workforce skills to the test in an annual competition.

“Jobs for America’s Graduates” hosted its regional competition.

More than 100 students from 9 schools took part.

They competed in twelve events.

The most popular is the “Creative Solutions” competition.

Students are given random materials and asked to build something.

The goal of the program is to help students be ready for the workforce.
