Communities learn to use trails for economic growth

Terre Haute, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) An effort is underway to encourage people to use trails in the Hoosier state and spend money in surrounding communities.

The Greenway Foundation and Indiana Parks and Recreation Association held a meeting in Terre Haute.

There are 6 meetings throughout the state.

Organizers say trails benefit residents in many ways from improving health to enjoying the outdoors.
