Coach Wayne Stahley Passes Away

Coach Wayne Stahley died early Monday morning after battling a few illnesses.

Coach Stahley was on the Terre Haute North sidelines for 21 season, resigning in 2001.

He leaves as the school’s winningest football coach, collecting 103 wins during his 21 year career in Uptown.

4 of Coach Stahley’s former Patriots played in the NFL: Anthony Thompson, Ernie Thompson, Steve Weatherford, and Jamie Petrowski.

Just 2 weeks ago, the school dedicated the press box to him, a special ceremony in which Stahley attended, along with Anthony and Ernie Thompson, and Steve Weatherford.

Coach Stahley was also a Physical Education teacher, and taught Driver’s Education.
