CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – The Clay Community School Board takes action on a focal point in the community.
Tonight the board announced a name for Northview’s new football field.
The field was recently upgraded and now has synthetic grass.
This past fall the board announced a plan to name the field, and they encouraged people to submit suggestions.
After a vote it was determined that Jerry Anderson’s name will now grace the Northview football field.
Clay Community School superintendent, Jeff Fritz, said “Jeff was a long time A.D. at Clay Community Schools. He was a long time football coach in Brazil and Northview as well. … I think he’s very deserving…so congratulations to him.”
The new field name will take effect this coming fall.
