Clay Co. philanthropic women’s group supports Brazil recovery center

News

A group of female philanthropists from Clay County provided financial support to a Brazil recovery center Wednesday.

The 100 Women who Care in Clay County presented Inside Out Recovery with a $6,100 check. According to the recovery center, the money will be used for new washers and dryers for residents of the transitional housing facility.

Any remaining funds will be used to upgrade the meeting room and library, and to provide funding for the “Quest to Authentic Manhood” program that they teach at the facility and at the Putnamville Prison.

The 100 Women Who Care are a group of women who commit to giving a $100 membership fee annually, and an additional $100 at each quarterly meeting. The money is then used to support various local charities voted on by members.

Inside Out Recovery is located at 1408 Hendrix Street in Brazil.
