Clay Co. Humane Society helps animals find their forever homes

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– Clay Co. Humane Society hosted their pet adoption event with Pet Supplies Plus to help reduce overcrowding in local shelters.

The shelter placed five animals up for adoption inside the pet store, where shoppers could interact with and adopt the animals on the spot.

Jennifer Snoddy, a Clay Co. Humane Society volunteer, said most of these animals are looking for another chance at being apart of a loving family.

“Adopting is so important because it’s great for families. It’s great for socialization with the animals… All they want is a second chance,” she said. “A lot of the times the animals come to the shelter through no fault of their own and they’re looking for a second chance and a home where they can really be a great family friend and a loving part of someone’s family,” Snoddy said.

Bellna, one of the dogs from the event, found a forever home.
