TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Wednesday evening Clabber Girl CEO, Gary Morris, was awarded the “Good Scout Award” by the Boy Scouts of America.
Winners of this award are chosen because the person dedicates time to serve their community, their family, and has great overall character.
Morris says joining the scouts is always something worth doing because it builds character.
He also said, “I view it as a process of, learning a process of achievement. So to achieve a merit badge you have to go through a variety of steps and you learn how to build a process to hit your end goal. You have to challenge yourself but then you also have to work with other people. And that builds character.”
Morris even still has his book where his scout master signed off on his activities from when he was a scout.
