Charges Filed in Shooting of Cloverdale Police Officer

Criminal charges have officially been filed in the December 10th shooting of a Cloverdale Police Officer

Indiana State Police Detectives from the Putnamville Post have consulted with Putnam County Prosecutor Timothy Bookwalter concerning the investigation into the shooting of Cloverdale
Police Officer Luke Brown on December 10th, 2016.

ISP detectives are currently in possession of a Putnam County arrest warrant for 48-year old Jeffrey P. Hunter of Putnam County.

The warrant is for Attempted Murder, Level 1 Felony, Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle, Level 6 felony; Battery (misdemeanor): and Theft (misdemeanor).

The Indiana State Police have Jeffrey P. Hunter under constant monitoring and anticipate the physical arrest of Hunter in coming days at the conclusion of his medical treatment at an Indianapolis hospital.
