Chamber encourages more people to get involved in Terre Haute, Vigo community plan

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Local business leaders are hoping more people will join them in saying “see you in Terre Haute”.

The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce spoke Wednesday to groups who work with the area’s senior citizen population. They wanted to share the message of the See You In Terre Haute 2025 Community Plan for the city and Vigo County.

Chamber President Kristin Craig says the goal is to get the community engaged in the strategy. She says she’s seeing signs that more people are getting involved.

“We’re seeing more people embrace the brand. Culver’s has put up a billboard on I-70 that includes some of the ‘see you in Terre Haute’ marketing, so we’re really excited to see people starting to latch onto that and starting to really use it as their own,” says Craig.

She says the goal of the plan is to halt the declining population and increase per capita personal income.
