TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – It may be the middle of summer time, but a local charity is looking ahead to Christmas.

Terre Haute Catholic Charities is currently holding its socks and underwear drive for its Christmas Store.

The Christmas Store allows local families in need to get brand new items like socks, underwear, clothing, personal hygiene products, household items, as well as toys for their children.

The store helps about 375 families in the community and Catholic Charities depends on donations to do it.

“We probably all know a family out there that’s struggling. No questions asked. We’re happy to try to help those families when and where we can,” says Jennifer Buell, Development Director for Catholic Charities.

The socks and underwear drive continues through August 6. You can donate new items or make a monetary donation to Terre Haute Catholic Charities.
