Casino bill heads to full senate

News

A bill that could pave the way for a casino in Terre Haute is now on its way to the full Indiana State Senate.

The Appropriates Committee heard Senate Bill 552 Thursday morning and voted unanimously to pass the bill.

The bill, which is co-sponsored by Terre Haute Sen. Jon Ford, deals with gaming matters. It would free up a casino license in Gary, with the possibility of bringing a casino license to Terre Haute.
