Vigo County CASA volunteers spent Friday decking the halls.
It’s all to get ready for their big Whoville Jubilation at the Main Event venue.
This is the biggest event for CASA, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates.
Vigo County CASA currently has over a thousand kids in its program.
With crafts, good food and presents, CASA hopes this holiday event will bring a smile to the children’s faces.
“Sometimes when you’re a child in this society, the hardest thing to do is be a kid, so the children that we advocate for who are abused and neglected, this is an opportunity for them to just come into a dreamland and just be a kid, and just be excited,” says Glenna Cheesman, the Vigo County CASA Director.
CASA is always looking for volunteers.
In fact, they still have 92 children on the waiting list for a court appointed special advocate.
