BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A volunteer group working to build a new church in Brazil is making amazing progress.
We’ve told you about the efforts ..
Carpenters for Christ, a groupthat builds churches free of labor charges for those who may not be able to pay it, have stepped in to help build Bee Ridge Congregational Church.
Last week, the lot was empty. By day six, which was Friday, volunteers were already putting up the siding.
“I’ll be honest, I can’t walk into the building without a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye,” said Pastor Jeff Bridgewater. “It’s overwhelming to see what people can do when they band together, and they work together and this is just nothing short of a miracle.”
It’s just an opportunity for each of us just to give back a portion of what God does for us, and this is just a minute thing that we can do just to serve our Lord,” said Carpenters for Christ coordinator Steve Fuller.
The new building will be able to hold 200 parishioners and guests.
Pastor Bridgewater said he hopes the building is move-in ready by the middle of next month.
