Some Indiana State University students spent the day with resumes in hand.
It was the first ever Building Careers Career Fair.
21 business spent the day speaking with potential employees. The job fair was for freshman through seniors.
The hope is to build the career fair into something businesses look forward to every year.
It’s all in an effort to help with job placement after graduation for students.
“Days like this are important for ever class, freshman through seniors. Even if you’re not coming for a job, they may be offering interships, or the opportunity to network and start building that network now so that when you graduate you have the contacts to reach out to to get that job,” said Danielle Burgess of ISU.
Students that attended were served lunch, and organizers say they hope this career fair will continue to grow and even more businesses will come next year.
