A man faces charges related to a standoff in Brazil Friday night.
Thirty-five year old Ryan Fontanyi is preliminarily charged with criminal confinement, kidnapping, battery with a deadly weapon and resisting law enforcement.
Friday evening, Brazil police initially responded to a possible kidnapping. Witnesses stated they saw Fontanyi forced a male victim into a vehicle with a gun. Police located the vehicle on State Road 340 just west of Brazil. Fontanyi had fled into the garage.
He refused to exit the garage and was surrounded by law enforcement. Eventually police entered the garage and took Fontanyi into custody. Fontanyi also had active arrest warrants from other counties.
