Brazil Concert Band to perform in double header event with Covered Bridge Chorus

BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Brazil Concert Band will perform in a double header musical performance event at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 15, in Forest Park; the event will go on rain or shine.

The Covered Bridge Chorus will sing at 7 pm followed by the Brazil Concert Band at 8 pm.

This week, the BCB will perform a ‘South of the Border’ theme with “Amparito Roca” by Jaime Texidor, “Trombrero”, a trombone trio by Frank Cofield, “Mariachi For Band” by Harold Walters, “The Golden Ear”, a paso doble by Mariano San Miguel and “Fiesta del Rio” by D. L. Walters.

The rest of the concert includes “Tico-Tico” arranged by Dick Kent, “Trumpets, Ole!” by Frank Cofield, “La Roquina” by W. B. Green, “Blue Tango” by Leroy Anderson and “The Picadore” by Sousa.

The concession stand will be operated by the 4-H Leaders.
