TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – A Vigo County judge Wednesday denied a bond reduction for the teen accused of trying to rob a Terre Haute cab driver.

According to police, 17-year-old Daivionne Young took a cab to Greenwood Apartments near the corner of Voorhees and South 19th streets last week. Once there, it is alleged that Young pulled a gun and attempted to rob the driver.

That is when the driver had other ideas, and pulled his own weapon, shooting Young. Young was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

He is currently being held on $75,000 bond.

The judge set Young’s trial date for Nov. 18.
