Vincennes University students and staff are rolling up their sleeves to give the gift of life.
The Red Cross is holding a two-day blood drive on the campus.
So far, they’ve seen a lot of participation, but they encourage more people to turn out and donate.
If you want to give blood, just make sure you’ve eaten, are staying hydrated and have your ID.
It always helps to schedule an appointment.
Officials hope you do come out because the need for blood never stops.
“It’s not always a national tragedy that brings out that additional need. There’s need based on cancer treatments, for surgeries, for accidents,” says Patrick Conner, a Donor Recruitment Representative for the American Red Cross.
The VU Blood Drive continues Wednesday from noon until 6 P.M.
The Red Cross has an online form to help you get ready to donate faster. Just click here to fill it out and answer some health history questions.
