Folks put on red and pretended to be Santa for the day, to help those who may not have a present to open Christmas.
Volunteers at Home Instead Senior Care in Terre Haute, bundled 75 gifts for senior citizens.
The group has been collecting donations for the past few months, and will surprise the seniors with the gifts on Tuesday.
The presents included hygiene products, puzzles, blankets, sweatshirt and more.
“So it’s been really exciting,” Taylor Lock said. “We wanted to give back to the community and especially the senior population because sometimes we feel that the seniors are the ones that are left out or forgotten about around the holiday season. And we didn’t want anyone to feel alone during Christmas. So we wanted to make sure that we had something for them to open on Christmas day.”
This is the business’s first year participating in the event and they hope to do it again next year.
