A man was arrested after a barricade situation in Vigo County on Friday morning.
Vigo County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home on Red Cherry Street for a domestic violence situation.
There was a female outside when deputies arrived. Authorities say a male at the home barricaded himself inside.
Deputies learned the male, identified as Chad Herzog, had a warrant for a probation violation out of Owen County, a failure to appear warrant out of Johnson County and an active order against the female.
Indiana State Police, Terre Haute Police and DNR also responded to the scene.
Authorities made several attempts to get Herzog to exit the home, but authorities say they eventually had to make forced entry.
Herzog was arrested without further incident.
He’s being held in the Vigo County Jail on charges of criminal confinement while armed with a deadly weapon, intimidation and invasion of privacy.
