Audio Released From Terre Haute North High School Phone Threat


We have new information to release regarding the Terre Haute North High School threat that occurred last Friday.

Audio was released Monday from the call during which the threat was made last Friday.

During this call, the suspect said they had a gun and explosives, as well as an “associate” that would assist in carrying out an attack against students and teachers. This was allegedly to happen unless both of the suspects received ransom money in a duffel bag outside of the school in the amount of  $10,000 for an undisclosed reason in the time frame of 25 minutes.

The suspect also said his name was “Michael” and his accomplice’s name was “Sam” and that “Sam” is wearing a red shirt.

The suspect further claimed that if any officers were to approach the school, that he would open fire and detonate the pipe bombs.

For more than three hours, police searched the school, but found nothing.

Police have not yet made an arrest in this case.
