Two arrested in connection to Linton murder investigation


The scene is clear after officers were shot at in West Terre Haute Saturday morning.

LINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Linton Police have arrested two suspects in connection to a Linton homicide.

John Chapman, 45, was found dead on the porch of a vacant home in Linton on March 18. Circumstances and an autopsy determined that Chapman was the victim of a murder.

Linton Police Wednesday arrested 34-year-old Brandon Criss and an unnamed juvenile on charges related to the murder.

The case was transferred to the Greene County Prosecutor’s office for review. Official charges had not been filed as of Thursday morning.

A release from Linton PD included several law enforcement agencies as assisting agencies in the ongoing investigation.
