On Wednesday February 8th and 2:30 AM, Terre Haute Police Department officers were made aware of a robbery that took place at 4th and Oak through dispatch.

After speaking to the male and female victims, it was found that they were at the 7th and Elm Bar, when they were approached by Justin Tyler, 22, who asked for a ride.

The victims agreed to give Justin a ride and upon arriving at 4th and Oak Justin pulled out two pistols and “pistol whipped” both victims, (who suffered minor injuries).

Justin then fled into another vehicle, at which time the victim drove to the ISU Police Department.

Justin was found at 3rd and Chestnut by Terre Haute Police Department officers, and charged with Armed Robbery, and Obstruction of Justice, and then transported to the Vigo County Jail.

This is an ongoing investigation at this time.

Anyone who has any additional information should contact the Terre Haute Police Department at 812-238-1661.
