On Saturday, Indiana announced the hiring of Archie Miller to be the 29th head coach of the men’s basketball program.
Miller spent the past six seasons as head coach of the Dayton Flyers.
The Flyers made it to the NCAA Tournament for four consecutive years, including an Elite 8 appearance in 2014.
“I am honored to be the head coach at Indiana University,” Archie Miller said in a statement released on Saturday. “IU is one of the greatest basketball programs and academic institutions in the country, and I cannot wait to get started.”
Indiana Director of Athletics Fred Glass announced the firing of Tom Crean on March 16th.
He only needed a week and a half to find the program’s next head coach.
The university will introduce Archie Miller in a press conference on Monday afternoon.
