Appeal of Sentence Denied

A Sullivan County man who appealed his prison sentence will not get his way.

Joshua Hall was sentenced to 16 years after pleading guilty to Involuntary Manslaughter and Aggravated Battery in the death of his girlfriend Rustin Rehmel.

Hall argued that the trial court abused its discretion when sentencing him and that the sentence was not appropriate.

The Indiana Court of Appeals has determined neither to be the case, so it is upholding the 16 year prison sentence.
