TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Monday night the community gathered in front of the Vigo County courthouse to remember those who have lost their lives to domestic violence.

First responders were also recognized by given food because they are recognized as heroes to domestic violence survivors.

CODA’s board president, Caroline Carvill, said “I think it will always be important for us to remember and I especially think the best for us to honor those who have lost their lives is to make a commit to the living and maybe next year and the year after that we will have no more names to add to this list.”

Carvill also says that if you see something, say something. If you recognize that someone might need help refer them to CODA.
