BEDFORD, Ind. (WTWO-WAWV) – An alleged wood thief in Michigan has been arrested, in connection to the death of a young child in Indiana.
Authorities say a traffic stop, led to the arrest of Cheyenne Hill of Bedford, Indiana , after she allegedly stole wood from a campground. Police received surveillance video from the campground, which also provided a description of the vehicle. With that information, police conducted a traffic stop, and hill was a passenger in the vehicle.
Authorities in Marquette county, discovered there was an active warrant for Hill’s arrest for child neglect, causing the death to a 20-month-old .
Hill was arrested and has since been extradited back to Lawrence county, Indiana to face charges.
