The State Fire Marshal’s Office determined a fire started in the engine area of one of the three ambulances being housed in the garage of the Sullivan County ambulance barn.
The fire destroyed the building on Section Street in Sullivan. The three ambulances inside were also totaled.
An ambulance crew was at the barn when the fire began at 6:45 a.m. No one was hurt.
Other ambulances in the county, as well as, the city of Sullivan are now on call.
Sullivan County officials hope to get a loaner ambulance soon.
