TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Rose-Hulman celebrated Martin Luther King Jr. day by bringing in a rather famous guest.
Award-winning journalist, T.J. Holmes came to talk to students about diversity in the broadcast news world.
Holmes is an ABC News anchor and correspondent. He told the crowd at Rose that he finished his show for Good Morning America, then hopped on a plane to Terre Haute.
Holmes shared experiences about his 17 years as a journalist and overcoming struggles and challenges.
“At this times of year we really start to reflect on the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. And we also want to be sure that we want to look forward as well and make sure that Dr. King’s message of hope and righteousness is carried out in our every day lives,” Nick Davis, Assoc. Dir. for the Center of Diversity and Inclusion said.
