An important night for one of the most important organizations in the Wabash Valley. Tonight, Terre Haute Catholic Charities held its 44th annual dinner on the campus of St. Mary of the Woods.
The event is an effort to bring together donors and provide and an update about the organization’s activities over the past year. It’s also a night to thank those who have contributed to its success. Plus, the organization also recognized some outstanding volunteers.
“It just gives us a chance to just pause and reflect on really the purpose of why we’re here you know what our calling is,” said John Etling, executive director.
Catholic Charities is also in the process of constructing a new food bank facility on 14th and 1/2 street. Construction started about seven weeks ago and the foundation was poured this week. Officials say it will take another 21 weeks to complete the effort.
