Election season can be stressful for any candidate which is why one state officials wants to help educate future candidates on how to alleviate that stress.
Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson made her way to the Wabash Valley on Thursday, to host a “campaign school” at he Vigo County Public Library.
The school held a candidate class which taught future potential candidates how to properly finance campaigns key strategies and voter security.
Secretary Lawson says this type of educational opportunity is the next step in future election seasons.
“If we could help them out, that’s what I’d like to do.,” said Secretary Lawson. “I’m a veteran candidate myself, if i had the opportunity to have this education opportunity the first time i was a candidate it would’ve saved me a lot of time and effort.”
With the lessons taught in today’s campaign school, be sure to keep an eye on the “students” of the school as they may take what they learned and possibly run for the next election.
