The Labor Day celebration didn’t stop after the parade.
Several union workers and family members headed to Fairbanks Park for a special union lunch.
Marcher’s from the parade cooled off with free water and filled their bellies with free hotdogs and beans.
The food wasn’t just for workers, anyone was able to come enjoy the food and company.
All in celebration and remembrance of those we honor.
“I think they just need to remember, you know, where we come from and where we are now. What the people of this country have done to build it. It’s the working people who built this country and we need to take the time to celebrate them and remember them,” said Tom Ridge, Business Manager of Local 841.
The building trades put on the luncheon as a way to give back to the community, in which they serve.
