3 Suspects Arrested At Loogootee Dairy Queen After Alleged Drug Deal

On the afternoon of Tuesday April 11th, 2017 the Martin County Sheriff’s Office executed arrests in a Loogootee restaurant parking lot.

Acting on information that a transaction to purchase methamphetamine was going to take place, the Sheriff, Merit and Reserve Deputies, and K-9 Virka surrounded the vehicle and extracted suspects. One suspect refused compliance.

A struggle ensued, and the suspect was able to break away from officers and a Taser was necessary to subdue the suspect. He was found to have a knife, methamphetamine, and wanted on a Harrison County, methamphetamine related, warrant. The suspect continued to remain combative.

Officers and K-9 Roxy of the Loogootee Police Department responded to assist and transport the suspect to the Martin County Jail.  Upon searching the vehicle at the scene, many precursors to manufacturing methamphetamine was found in the vehicle, along with marijuana and paraphernalia.

The other two suspects were arrested and booked into the Martin County Jail without incident. The following are the individuals arrested and their charges:

Noah R. Peyton, 34, of Pekin, IN

1. Conspiracy to Commit Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level 2 Felony  

2. Attempted Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level 4 Felony
3. Possession of Methamphetamine a Level 6 Felony
4. Possession of Precursors a Level 6 Felony
5. Maintaining a Common Nuisance a Level 6 Felony
6. Possession of Marijuana a Class B Misdemeanor
7. Possession of Paraphernalia a Class C Misdemeanor
8. Resisting Law Enforcement a Class A Misdemeanor

Jeffery L. Raisor, 28, of Corydon, IN


1. Conspiracy to Commit Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level 2 Felony
2. Attempted Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level 4 Felony
3. Possession of Methamphetamine a Level 6 Felony
4. Possession of Precursors a Level 6 Felony
5. Maintaining a Common Nuisance a Level 6 Felony
6. Possession of Marijuana a Class B Misdemeanor
7. Possession of Paraphernalia a Class C Misdemeanor

Kaelyn M. Baldwin, 30, of Beech Grove, IN


1. Conspiracy to Commit Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level 2 Felony
2. Attempted Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level 4 Felony
3. Possession of Methamphetamine a Level 6 Felony
4. Possession of Precursors a Level 6 Felony
5. Maintaining a Common Nuisance a Level 6 Felony
6. Possession of Marijuana a Class B Misdemeanor
7. Possession of Paraphernalia a Class C Misdemeanor
